Bond Set for Murder Suspect

A 16-year-old boy will be tried as an adult in the killing of a Kenosha man. Latonio Simpson of Chicago made his initial court appearance Monday, where bond was set at a quarter-of-a-million-dollars. He was arrested on a warrant in Illinois and transferred to Kenosha County Jail on Friday. Simpson is one of five people involved in the Oct. 24 shooting death of Willie Owens. The Kenosha man was shot four times while standing in his front yard during a party for his 33rd birthday. Just one of the five suspects, 22-year-old James L. Butler of Chicago, remains at large.
