Canadian Wildfires Bring Haze to Kenosha

Smoke from Canadian wild fires made its way to the Kenosha area causing a haze and a distinctive odor. The cold front that pushed through Wednesday night into Thursday morning brought the smoke downwind causing some confusion for Kenosha residents. The Kenosha Fire Department was peppered with calls about the haze all morning. The U.S. Coast Guard even responded to a call for a possible boat fire after the smoke was noticed over the water. The last time this phenomenon happened was two years ago when the smoke was much thicker and lasted for several days. This time the haze and odor was gone by early afternoon.
