Carthage President leaving School

Carthage College President Gregory Woodward is leaving the school at the end of this academic year to assume the presidency at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. The Board of Trustees made the announcement Tuesday, saying that a search for a new president will begin soon, but no timetable has been set. Woodward took office in 2012 and is the private college’s 22nd president. He came to Carthage from Ithaca College, where he led its undergraduate music conservatory as dean of the School of Music.
