City to Consider Budget This Week

Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian is billing his 2017 city budget as responsibly ambitious. The Kenosha City Council is set to vote on the budget and Capital Improvement Plan this week. Total expenditures are $195 million, an 8 percent increase over last year, with operating costs of $78 million, a 2.2 percent increase. Antaramian said the budget was developed to look beyond 2017, as Kenosha is set to surpass Green Bay as the state’s third-largest city and needs infrastructure improvements.
