The city has released the names of the three men being considered for Kenosha’s next fire chief. The three finalists are Battalion Chief Matthew Haerter, Battalion Chief Kenneth Schroeder and Capt. Charles Leipzig Jr. Officials said a decision could come by the end of this month. When hired, the new chief will replace John Thomsen, who retired in July after 32 years with the department.
