City Panel to Get Plan for New Station

Plans for a new fire station at 52nd Street and 22nd Avenue will be presented to Kenosha’s Public Safety and Welfare Committee on Tuesday. The public meeting begins at 5:30 at the Kenosha Municipal Building. The fire station would be constructed on the site of the former Bain Elementary School, which would be razed. Plans call for the fire station to consolidate services of Station 5, on Washington Road, and Station 3, on Roosevelt Road. The capital improvement plan, approved by the City Council as part of the 2017 budget, allocates $3 million to help pay for the new station.
