Corrections Officer Charged With Battery

(Waukegan, IL) A Lake County Jail corrections officer is in trouble with the law, after allegedly making unwanted advances at a food service employee. Darin Chansky of Kenosha faces a pair of complaints from the employee for alleged incidents that took place in January. In the first incident, Chansky was accused of making inappropriate sexual gestures at the female in front of inmates. The second incident was similar, only this time, the 49-year-old was accused of touching the woman inappropriately, also in the presence of inmates. Chansky was placed on leave, an investigation took place, and he’s now been charged with battery. He’s currently free on a 20-thousand-dollar bond. He’s due back in court on March 5th.
