Deputies Arrest Driver After Hit-and-Run

A Racine man was arrested after a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of highways L and Green Bay Road. According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, 27-year-old Antonio Ibarra was arrested just after 10 Friday morning. Authorities are recommending charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing injury, hit-and-run causing injury, and a second offense of possession of marijuana. After the crash, deputies said Ibarra continued south on Highway 31 to a gasoline station parking lot in the 6300 block of 52nd Street. A witness to the crash followed Ibarra to the lot and called authorities. Deputies discovered 28.8 grams of marijuana in a bag in Ibarra’s pocket. He also had a previous conviction this year for marijuana possession.
