Fire Displaces Four Families

Four families were in need of shelter Sunday night after a fire broke out in an upper unit of a two-level residence in the Uptown area. According to Kenosha police, fire crews were called to the 21-hundred block of 61st street just before 10; that’s where they found smoke and flaming coming from the building. Police said four families, a total of 10 to 12 people, were in need of shelter after the fire; however there were no serious injuries. No additional information was available this morning, as the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
