Investigation Continues in Fatal Pedestrian Accident

KENOSHA COUNTY — Kenosha County authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that took place early Thursday morning. According to police, the accident happened on I-94 near Highway 158 around 3. Officials say it appears the pedestrian, a 30-year-old man, was attempting to cross the interstate he was struck. Authorities say no disabled vehicle was found in the immediate vicinity. Lt. Nate Clark of the Wisconsin State Patrol said investigators have been unable to determine why he was walking on the Interstate. The incident temporarily closed off all southbound lanes on I-94. Clark said the investigation is ongoing as investigators await toxicology results.
