KD Park Gets a Facelift

West End Park, also known as KD Park, reopens Tuesday afternoon. The park has been closed since August for park improvements, including a paved parkway, signs and storm water management features. These developments are intended to create more accessibility for visitors to the park’s hiking trails, fishing and watercraft activities. A ceremony to mark the reopening of the park begins at 4 p.m. Tuesday near the park entrance on 352nd Avenue (Highway KD) north of Bassett Road (Highway F). The event will give the public a sneak peek and insight into the development of KD Park, and a chance to review future plans.
