Kenosha Home Destroyed in Labor Day Fire

A Kenosha home suffered major damage yesterday after an attic blaze spread to the rest of the house. Crews were called to the house on 18th avenue and 46th street just after 3:40 PM. The Kenosha News reports that 12 people were displaced from the home, including at least two young children. Firefighters from around the area help extinguish the flames, coming from Racine, Milwaukee, and Lake Counties. One firefighter was reportedly injured by falling debris, and crews were also hampered by a fallen power line for a short time. No cause has been reported.
