Kenoshans Can Apply For Flood Grant Assistance

Wednesday is the first day that homeowners with flood damage will be able to apply for grants from the city of Kenosha. Residents can fill out an application with proof of flood damage and a copy of your homeowners insurance policy. The homeowner must then get bids for the repairs with the city’s approval. Grants will be worth up to 75-hundred dollars and given on a first come first serve basis. Applications will be available on the city’s website and in person at the Municipal Building. The grants will be paid for with monies from the city’s HELP program and two different TIF districts, depending on where the applicants live.
