Man Faces Charged in Break-in

A Kenosha man will face charges of armed robbery after he broke into an 80-year-old woman’s apartment Monday armed with a knife. According to Kenosha Police, the man forced his way into an apartment in the 2500 block of 18th Street just after 7 p.m. The woman was at home, along with other women, one 50 and one 22, who were there visiting. According to Police Lt. Thomas Hamm, when police arrived the man resisted arrested. Police eventually used a Taser to subdue him. Three officers were injured in the scuffle and were taken to an area hospital. Hamm said the robbery appears random, but the investigation is ongoing.
