Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle Friday

Kenosha Police said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Friday evening. 25-year-old Jimenez Gutierrez, of Kenosha, was struck as he crossed 39th Street just west of 39th Avenue. The vehicle was driven by 58-year-old Karen Hillesland, of Pleasant Prairie. No citations were issued, but police said it appeared Gutierrez had darted into the roadway and was not in a designated crosswalk. Gutierrez sustained facial abrasions and pain in his left leg and ankle but declined medical treatment.
