Pleasant Prairie Power Plant Set to Fire Up

The Pleasant Prairie Power Plant is set to fire back up after a three month hiatus. In a cost saving experiment WE Energies shut down the plant during the low energy usage spring months with the plant going back on line before the higher demand summer months. The plant is scheduled to be shut down again this fall. The power company says it’s too soon to say if the shut down as realized any cost savings.
