Police Identify Man Found in Marsh

Police have identified the man found in a marsh in the town of Brighton as 49-year-old Leonard Jagielski. According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, emergency responders were called to the intersection of Highways B and 142 just after noon Saturday; that’s where they found a vehicle overturned in the marsh, about 100 years south of the intersection. Police said the water depth was about 3 feet, leaving the passenger compartment of the vehicle under water. They broke out a window and found the victim dead inside. Police said Jagielski was the subject of a missing person report to the Racine County Sheriff’s Department. No other information was available Monday, as the incident remains under investigation.
