St Baldricks Event Raises Money To Fight Childhood Cancer

Kenosha’s 12th annual St Baldricks event was Saturday night. About 180 people had their heads shaved after raising money to help fight childhood cancers. This year’s goal was to raise $190,000 and while the final numbers are not in yet the event will be very close to that goal. All the proceeds are used for cancer research. Last year’s event ranked tenth of all the St Baldricks events nationwide, and the number one fundraiser in the state. Our own Tom Kief from our sister station WIIL raised over $13,000 for this year’s event.
