Three Banks Robbed in 30 Minutes

Three Kenosha banks were robbed within about 30 minutes Tuesday afternoon, most likely by the same person. Two Chase Bank branches were robbed within minutes. Then, as investigators were at those two locations, a Johnson Bank branch was held up. The first robbery was called in by bank employees just before 2 p.m. at the Chase branch on Washington Road. The second robbery, the Chase branch on 6th Avenue was reported at 2:08 p.m. The third robbery, at Johnson Bank on 39th Avenue, was reported at 2:30 p.m. The suspect descriptions for the robberies were similar: a black man wearing a red sweatshirt and khaki shorts, with a blond beard poking out of the hoodie. At locations across the city, officers were checking outdoor security footage looking for possible getaway vehicle information.
