Pleasant Prairie Community Development Director Plans Retirement

Pleasant, Prairie, WI (WLIP via Village of Pleasant Prairie)–The Village of Pleasant Prairie is implementing a strategic succession plan for the leadership role within the Community Development Department.

This plan coincides with the anticipated mid-2024 retirement of Jean Werbie-Harris, who has held various key positions, including Community Development Director, Planner, and Zoning Administrator, for Pleasant Prairie since 1989.

The plan calls for a person who will help with the drafting and administering numerous municipal ordinances, including the Village’s Comprehensive Plan, Land Division and Development Control, and Zoning regulations.

Once that person is hired they will collaborate closely with Jean Werbie-Harris during the transition period to ensure the seamless operation of the department, with a strong focus on preserving the Village’s long-term vision for economic development.
