Arrest Made in 2019 Pleasant Prairie Homicide
Kenosha, WI (WLIP)—A Kenosha man has been charged in the 2019 shooting death of Joseph H. Christol in Pleasant Prairie.
41 year old Kevin R. Siler, who was arrested nearly five years after the incident, appeared in Kenosha County Circuit Court, where he was given a $150,000 cash bond on Monday.
The criminal complaint details that Christol was found dead on September 16, 2019, with a gunshot wound to the head.
Following the incident, Siler allegedly traveled to Arizona and confessed to a friend that the gun went off while they were drinking.
He claimed he didn’t know who had the gun at the time but sobered up immediately after the shot, held Christol’s body, and then left the scene.
The friend advised Siler to return to Wisconsin to explain what happened.
Authorities also received a tip in June that led to the arrest in the case.
