KENOSHA, WI–Michael Bell is again asking the Wisconsin Department of Justice for a new investigation into his son’s death.
The younger Michael Bell was shot and killed by Kenosha Police 15 years ago after an altercation, the facts of which have been the subject of dispute between those involved and the elder Bell.
At a press conference yesterday, Bell said that new evidence has been discovered pertaining to the incident.
Previous calls for a special prosecutor or new investigation have been denied. In an internal investigation in 2004, the officers were ruled to have been justified. Bell later settled with the city for $1.75 million.
