KENOSHA, WI—A Kenosha County Judge has refused to lower the bond for the suspect in a triple fatal drunk driving crash.

Timothy Vandervere was allegedly behind the wheel going 100 miles per hour when he crashed into the Jeep carrying four members of the Rizzo family.

The impact killed brothers Michael and Vincent Rizzo and Vince’s wife Mary. A third brother was severely injured. In court yesterday Vandervere’s attorney asked for Judge Bruce Schroeder to lower his bond and to delay the July trial date. Both motions were denied.

Vandervere is alleged to have had a blood alcohol content of nearly four times the legal limit at the time of the crash. The trial is set to begin July 15th.
