Candidates Make Final Wisconsin Push Before Election Day

MADISON, Wis. (WLIP) — Both major party vice presidential candidates will make last-minute campaign stops in Wisconsin on Monday, underscoring the state’s crucial role in Tuesday’s presidential election.

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz will conduct a three-city sweep ending in Milwaukee, while Republican counterpart JD Vance will appear in La Crosse Monday morning before heading to other battleground states.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the visits come as polls show an extraordinarily tight race in Wisconsin.

A Marquette University Law School poll released Wednesday showed Vice President Kamala Harris leading former President Donald Trump by just 1 percentage point among likely voters.
