Carthage Men’s Volleyball Team: National Champs

The Carthage College men’s volleyball team took home the program’s first ever national championship on Saturday after they defeated Benedictine in five sets, 3-2 on Saturday at the Salem Civic Center.  This marks the first-ever team NCAA National Championship since Carthage began competing in athletics in 1895, 126 years ago. Matt Slivinski led the Firebirds with 22 hits, being named MVP for the tournament.
