Chicago Man Dies in Lake County Crash

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (WLIP) — A Chicago man died Sunday following a single-vehicle crash in Highland Park, authorities said. Cameron Faulkner, 34, was killed when a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee ran off Skokie Valley Road and struck a utility pole around 3:25 a.m. Sunday, according to the Highland Park Police Department.

Police said the vehicle was traveling south when it left the roadway, rolled over and ejected Faulkner from the backseat.

He was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy Monday and determined Faulkner died from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.

The Highland Park Police Department and the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team are investigating the incident.
