Chicago Woman Gets Additional Charges in Lake County “Impalement” Case

(Waukegan, IL) Additional charges have been filed against a Chicago woman, in a Vernon Hills retail theft that left one person impaled with a wooden fence post. The incident took place back on March 6th, when a vehicle fleeing the crime scene ran a red light, hit another vehicle then careened into a fence. The driver, 24-year-old Jariah Terrell, was originally slapped with charges of retail theft, aggravated fleeing and resisting arrest. She now faces new charges of DUI/drugs, and other charges related to the alleged intoxicants in her system. 25-year-old Kaniyah Williams (also of Chicago), was also arrested…the woman impaled by the fence post has never been identified, nor was she charged. She has been released from the hospital.
