KENOSHA, WI–The Kenosha Public Works Committee was set to review plans for the new proposed city hall Monday, but instead the meeting focused on what isn’t happening with the plans.

Several of the alderman in attendance talked about their unease with the process, with some saying it was moving too fast while others sought more public input. No plans were considered.

However a document from city administration laid out an agenda to hire a developer by the end of the year. Construction would begin by mid-2020 under that part of the proposal. The new municipal building would be built across the street from the Kenosha County CourtHouse near 56th Street and Sheridan Road. The current building on that site would need to be razed.
