Covid-19 Stats From Wednesday

(Chicago, IL) A near record-setting testing day led to a rise in Covid-19 cases in Illinois.
The state announced 1,187 new confirmed cases on Wednesday, which was over 400 more than Tuesday, but testing increased by nearly 10-thousand over the previous day.
Deaths were down, with 8 new fatalities announced…and none were in Lake County. Hospital use ticked up slightly for the 3rd straight day, but those numbers remain below where they were at this point last week.
ICU use by Covid patients fell for the 2nd straight day, with the highest concentration of patients in the West and Southwest Suburban Regions, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
