Defense Looks to Get Murder Confession Tossed

(Waukegan, IL) Lawyers for a Deerfield man accused of killing his wife, want his confession thrown out.
The defense for Gary Kamen say incriminating statements he made to police were made before he was properly mirandized.
A hearing on matter has not been set at this point. Kamen is accused of handcuffing his wife Karyn to a chair back in September of 2018…then sexually assaulting her and stabbing her several times until she eventually died.
The 55-year-old is being held without bond, and faces life in prison if convicted at trial.
