Donna Matthews Appears in Court

The woman accused of killing a Kenosha man last month will enter her plea on Friday. 50-year-old Donna Matthews is facing charges of first-degree homicide for the killing of her ex-boyfriend, Michael Gayan. At a hearing Tuesday, Matthews was bound over for trial by Court Commissioner David Berman, after hearing testimony about an interview police had with her brother Derrick Matthews. Detective Vincente Correa testified that Derrick told police “that weeks, if not months, prior he had spoken to Donna and she said that she planned to come to Kenosha to kill Michael.” Both suspects will return to court Friday for arraignment, during which they are expected to enter their pleas.
