KENOSHA, WI–The process to add more parking to Downtown Kenosha has hit a snag. The Public Works Committee rejected a plan for a new parking structure near the Post Office because plans came in over budget. The city plans to spend 8-point-5 million dollars on the project, but estimates are that current plans will cost 9-point-3 million. 17th District Alderman David Bogdala told WLIP’s Wake Up Kenosha that means changes are in the works.

If there are no changes to the look of the building, it will not need renewed approval from the City Plan Commission but only have to go before Public Works again. Work on project would begin next year.
