Father Accused of Keeping Daughter in Squalor in Court

(Waukegan, IL) A Waukegan man who is accused of locking his own daughter in the basement of his home, is once again having his mental fitness questioned.

Randy Swopes was ordered to undergo another exam, after he had filed court documents that the judge said “made absolutely no sense.” Swopes is representing himself in court.

The 49-year-old claims several local and national politicians, lawyers and more were entering his home to perform rituals with his 10-year-old daughter…leading to him lock her in the basement.

His wife was also charged and is currently serving probation on a negotiated plea.
