Federal Judge Allows Abuse Lawsuit Against Lake Forest High School to Proceed

(Lake Forest, IL) A federal judge says a lawsuit against the Lake Forest High School and a former teacher can move forward. Six former students at the school claimed former drama teacher David Miller sexually abused them on campus, at his home and on school sponsored trips decades ago. They also claim the school knew about the abuse but covered it up. Lake Forest High School officials attempted to get the suit dropped based on the statute of limitations, but a federal judge said that doesn’t apply in this case. The timeline of the lawsuit, and the damages being sought are currently unknown.
