Great Kenosha Pizza Bake Off!

The Great Kenosha Pizza Bake Off was Sunday night (2/26/18). The annual event-which is a major fundraiser for the Kenosha Noon Optimist Club-asks patrons to vote on which of the participants has the best pizza. The People’s Choice award winner was laid out by local restaurants and chains. The three categories were sausage, cheese, and specialty. Locally, Valeo’s won the first two while Baker Street won specialty. The critic’s choice panel was made up of Jake McGee from the Boys and Girls Club, Randy Rickman, publisher of the Kenosha News, Andy Choi from channel 12, and also Bill Lawrence and Pete Serzant from WLIP. Our top choice was Dolce Vita’s specialty offering. On the chain side we decided for Jimano’s. In all 12 establishments participated in the event. The club uses the money to help support its scholarship program.
