Gurnee Police Investigate Threat to Woodland Middle School, Determine No Credible Danger

Gurnee, IL (WLIP)—Gurnee Police were alerted to a SnapChat threat concerning Woodland Middle School Thursday evening, which was quickly reported by parents and students.

Thanks to a swift investigation by school resource officers, detectives, and school administrators, the individual responsible—a juvenile from another state—was identified, and the threat was confirmed as non-credible.

Authorities have assured the community that there is no ongoing danger, emphasizing that the situation has been resolved.
