Investigators Search For Clues In Officer’s Death
KENOSHA, WI—Multiple law enforcement agencies conducted a neighborhood canvas around the bar where a Racine Police officer was shot and killed more than a week ago.
Now authorities are asking neighbors to be on the lookout for anything suspicious. The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department says that residents and businesses within a half mile of Teezer’s Bar on 20th and Lathrop in Racine should check backyards, alleyways, and other properties for anything that may be out of place including clothing, weapons, or anything else they feel should not be there. Residents should call Racine Police if they do find something suspicious.
Additionally the reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the death of Officer John Hetland reached 78-thousand-5 hundred dollars. More than a dozen local businesses as well as the FBI have donated money to that total.
Any tips should called in to Crimestoppers by calling (262)-656-7333; (888)-363-9330; or (800)-807-8477.
