Jensen Trial to Begin Sept. 25th

Mark Jensen’s new trial will begin in September. Jensen’s attorney informed the court yesterday that they plan to move forward in the case where Jensen is charged with killing his wife Julie in 1998. Jensen was convicted of the crime in 2008 but that was overturned on appeal. A few other details of the trial are known…the letter by Julie implicating her husband in her murder will be allowed into evidence even tough it was the reason the first conviction was overturned. That’s because prosecutors argued successfully that the law has changed allowing it back into evidence. Also video testimony from the first trial will possibly be used in the second trial because some witnesses are no longer available to testify. The trial is set to begin September 25th.
