Kenosha County Official Raises Alarm After Recent String of Suspect Overdose Deaths

Kenosha, WI (WLIP)–Kenosha County officials are again warning the public in the wake of multiple suspected overdose deaths.

The recent spate of deaths comes in a recent 12 days period-including three such deaths reported Saturday alone.

The Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office reports that the drugs involved in these incidents are cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines, and counterfeit prescription pills.

Medical Examiner Patrice Hall said “The deceased individuals have ranged in age from late-20s to mid-50s, and the deaths have occurred in various locations in the City of Kenosha and west of Interstate 94.”

Hall noted that help is available and recovery is possible for people struggling with substance use.

Kenosha County agencies continue to offer numerous prevention resources, including Narcan and fentanyl test strips.
