KENOSHA, WI–The city of Kenosha has hired a consultant to help with the design of a new city hall.

Chicago based Newmark Knight Frank will help with several aspects of the move, as the municipal building is moved to the corner of Sheridan Road and 56th street.

17th district Alderman David Bogdala told WLIP’s Wake Up Kenosha that this will involve a multi-faceted approach.

The Kenosha Common Council approved the hire last week. The Downtown Vision Plan will transform the north end of the downtown area, tearing down the current municipal building, and adding public space and a performing arts center. There will also be new private residences.
