KENOSHA, WI–The Kenosha Italian American Society celebrated their 95th annual Columbus Day Banquet last night by honoring special guest Daniel J Travanti.

Travanti is a Kenosha native and best known for his role in the 1980’s police drama Hill Street Blues.

Travanti received a special award from the society. He told the gathered crowd that he’s flattered by the love from his hometown.

 

Travanti says that he has many fond memories about growing up here.

 

The event was attended by many local dignitaries including Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian, Congressman Bryan Steil, State Reps Tod Ohnstad and Samantha Kerkman as well as State Senator Bob Wirch and Wisconsin Treasury Secretary Peter Barca.
