Kenosha K-Mart to Close

KENOSHA, WI–The Kenosha K-Mart store will soon close. The company made the announcement Friday morning. The 52nd street facility is one of less than 100 K-Mart Stores still open nationwide. A liquidation sale is set for early next month.
The closure is the final blow to what once the retail hub of Kenosha. Once the K-Mart closes, the era of box stores in the area will be over, as Shop-Ko closed earlier this year, and Walmart moved to a larger location in Somers a decade ago.
