Kenosha Man Killed After Attempted Heist in Milwaukee

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–A Kenosha man was shot and killed in Milwaukee after an alleged heist of an armored truck.

It happened Friday afternoon outside a bank branch near 58th and West Forest Home just before 5 PM.

Police reports say the unidentified suspect got into a shootout with an armed guard while attempting to rob the truck.

A 36 year old guard was injured and hospitalized.

He’s expected to be ok.

Police say they found several handguns at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
