Kenosha Opioid Tasks Warns Against Deadly Drugs Circulating

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)—The Kenosha County Opioid Task force warns that a “more-dangerous-than-usual” potentially deadly supply of illicit drugs is making its way around the community.

In a press release, the task force said that while they always advise strongly against the use of any illegal drugs, “we implore the community now more than ever to refrain from using.”

The narcotics circulating are cut with fentanyl or a similar drug which can go undetected and be deadly. Police are investigating an incident in Kenosha this week in which five people overdosed, with one person losing their life.

Underscoring the current danger the task force went on to say that test kits for fentanyl are available and Narcan-which reverses overdoses-can be obtained from the Kenosha County Division of Health.
