Kenosha PFC To Consider Dropping “Interim” From Police Chief’s Title

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–Kenosha Police Chief Eric Larsen has been serving on an interim basis for more than a year.

Now the Kenosha Police and Fire Commission are going to consider dropping the interim part of his title at Tuesday night’s meeting.

Although Chief Larsen is retiring at the end of the year, the promotion to chief would be in recognition of his many years of service to the department.

He took over the top spot in May 2021 after former Chief Daniel Miskinis retired.

Chief Larsen was tasked with leading the department in the wake of the 2020 riots and strengthening the relationship between the department and the citizens they protect and serve.
