Kenosha Police Officer Arrested

A Kenosha Police officer was arrested for battery while on duty in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day. According to a statement from the Kenosha Police Department, the officer was “involved in an altercation stemming from a personal matter.” The officer, identified as 29-year-old Kendal West, was placed on administrative leave and is facing charges of battery. The incident occurred in Kenosha, although the exact time and location were not available. The Racine County Sheriff’s Department was called in to investigate through a cooperative agreement between the departments. The Kenosha Police Department is cooperating with the investigation, which will remain with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department.
