Kenosha Shooting Claims Life of Pregnant Woman and Her Unborn Child
Kenosha, WI (WLIP)—A tragic shooting on Friday September 6, 2024, left a 22-year-old woman and her unborn child dead.
Around 4:28 PM, police responded to reports of gunfire near the 1200 block of 65th Street in Kenosha and found the woman in a car that was up against a viaduct pillar.
The woman, who had been shot, was rushed to a local hospital by the Kenosha Fire Department but later succumbed to her injuries, along with her unborn child.
Police remained at the scene until 9:55 PM, gathering evidence and seeking witnesses.
Police have identified 25-year-old Lawrence G. Franklin Jr. as the suspect in the homicide. Franklin, who is 5’03” and weighs approximately 105 pounds, is considered armed and dangerous and is aware he is wanted by police.
