Kenosha Teacher Charged With Showing Student Lewd Photo

KENOSHA, WI—A Kenosha teacher was placed on leave and now faces charges for allegedly showing a student a lewd photo.

26 year old Meiranda Patterson has been on leave from her position at Lakeview Academy since October 28th and was charged with exposing a child to harmful material this week.

According to the criminal complaint, Lakeview’s principal reported the incident to police October 25th. Patterson is alleged to have shown a picture of a naked man to a 14 year old student.

When later questioned about the incident, Patterson reportedly said she thought of the girl as a friend and not as her student.

The girl is said to have been disgusted by the picture.

A warrant was issued for Patterson’s arrest.
