KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–The city of Kenosha is in the midst of its trial period of the new waste and recycling collection program.

Kier Powell-who is in charge of the waste and recycling operations for the city told WLIP’s Happenings Q and A that there has already been improvement when it comes to the proper placement of recyclables.

As to the placement of the carts themselves, they should be placed in the street with the wheels directly against the curb if possible.

Meanwhile, around 2-thousand of the new carts are being delivered to residents everyday. The system goes live for the entire city on August 24th.
