Kentucky Woman Charged With Child Abuse in Kenosha

KENOSHA, WI–A Kentucky woman faces charges in Kenosha County for an incident that happened Sunday night. According to a criminal complaint, 30 year old Virginia Leslie was attending the Renaissance Faire with her 11 year old daughter.

Leslie is alleged to have dragged her daughter to the car. The girl told deputies that her mother smashed her face into the car window, leaving her with a lump on her head, an eye so swollen that he had partially shut, and a fat lip. He also had scratches on her arm. Leslie is also alleged to have head-butted a Good Samaritan who tried to help the girl, and later slapped a security guard who intervened.

Leslie denied battering her daughter. She faces charges of abuse of a minor, 2 counts of battery and disorderly conduct.
